Yep, for all those from WA who can't make it to the prestigious 39th Annual SA & WA ACS Awards for Cinematography we'll be live streaming the event through our Facebook Page from 6.50pm CST Saturday October 26.

Bookings closed for Russell Boyd ACS ASC Screening & Q&A this Friday night October 25th. Russell will present a screening and a Q&A of some of his fabulous work Directed by Peter Weir.

On the Monday night after the awards Anifex have a free special presentation and Q&A of their latest film at the Capri Cinema. Booking not required.

Russell Boyd ACS ASC Screening & Q&A

Academy Award winner Russell Boyd ACS ASC will present a screening and a Q & A of some of his fabulous work which was Directed by Peter Weir including excerpts from Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Last Wave, Gallipoli, The Year of Living Dangerously, Master and Commander - the Far Side of the World and The Way Back.

Other films Russell was DoP on include: Starstruck, Mrs Soffel and High Tide Directed by Gillian Armstrong, Bruce Beresford Directed Tender Mercies and Crocodile Dundee (One and Two) are amongst some of the better known earlier films. More recently he photographed A Soldier’ Story, White Men can't Jump, Cobb, Tin Cup, Liar Liar and Doctor Dolittle to name a few.

So come along and hear about his incredible career and learn from this amazing Australian cinematographer and true gentleman.

"Meanwhile, at the Abandoned Factory..." Free Anifex Presentation

You are invited to a free Presentation Screening of a short stop-motion animation "Meanwhile, at the Abandoned Factory..." The screening is on October 28 the Monday night after the ACS Awards.

Anifex will also be be screening two other of their short films Sleight of Hand and After All. Followed by a short Q&A presented by Director Michael Cusack and DoP Richard Chataway ACS.

Where: Capri Cinema Goodwood Rd, Goodwood
When: Monday 28th October
Time: 7pm for 7:30pm screening
Cost: Free! Bookings not necessary.
Drinks: Please purchase at the bar
Please note: In Meanwhile, at the.... there is infrequent coarse language.
