PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - JIM FRATER ACS

Hi All,

Welcome to our May newsletter. A lot is happening this month and into May. I am
personally looking forward to heading over to Sydney for the National Awards on the 6th
May, good luck to all our local members at the awards, and hope we bring some gold home.
We will stream the event live, so come on down and join the event locally, and it should be a
ripper.

The committee have been working hard to bring more events over the next few months, so
stay tuned.

Hope you enjoyed the April DROP IN and feel free to reach out with any ideas for future
events.

Also, let us know if you have done anything fun or interesting lately; we love to see our
peers at work and what they are up to.

Stay safe, and see you soon.

APRIL DROP-IN
WRAP-UP
!

On the 13th of April, our members were treated to a lighting masterclass.

Local members Jim Frater ACS along with Gaffer extraordinaire Andrew Piercy, showed us some of the tricks of the trade when lighting faces and managing light and dark complexions. As well as different looks achievable with a limited kit.

In what became a standing-room-only event, even seasoned professionals came away with new tricks for their toolbox.

We thank Jim and Andrew for their time and knowledge, our local sponsors Location Equipment and Cinemachine for supplying cameras, lenses and monitors. And most of all our members for attending on a wet and windy night.
