The Australian Cinematographers Society WA committee are delighted to announce they have partnered with Screenwest and Panavision offering a series of creative workshops on Thursday, 2 May and Friday, 3 May 2019 at Johnny Ma Studios in Maylands.
The workshops will be run by Panavision’s Nic Godoy for cinematographers, camera department crew, directors, producers and production managers.
ACS WA members need to book ASAP using the online EventBright link, members will be given priority to the 2nd May evening Cinematography Workshop, but you still have to reserve your spot.
Members can, if they wish, also attend the Director/Producer/ProdManager workshop in the afternoon 3rd May but you must also book through the second EventBrite link. This event is strictly first come first serve as is the Sundowner and Networking evening rolling on from the event.
About the Workshops
Using Panavision’s array of camera and lenses, the hands-on workshops will show how
~ technology influences the creative elements to visual story-telling ~ explain modern filming techniques ~ the evolution of filmmaking.
Workshops will incorporate video references, ‘lit set’ demonstrations and theory presentations.
And in a WA first, Panavision will showcase their renowned inventory of Anamorphic, Spherical, Large Format lenses and the Panavision Millenium DXL2 Camera.
Each workshop will be split into three sessions, tailored to different groups. Please note there are limited slots available for each session.
About Nic Godoy
Nic joined Panavision in 1999 and has over 20 years’ experience. Nic has worked across varied sectors of the Film and TV industry in technical and consultant roles. He is an accredited executive member of the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA), Screen Producers Australia (SPA) and Australian Cinematographer Society (ACS).
