The Victorian Branch is excited to have international guest Roger Horrocks joining us for a talk on underwater cinematography.
Roger is an underwater cinematographer specialising in wildlife imagery for documentaries and features.
Since working with Didier Noirot on BBC’s Nature’s Great Events series in 2007, Roger has gone on to become arguably one of the most renowned underwater cinematographers in the world.
In the past few years, he has worked with Netflix, BBC, Disney and National Geographic, shooting sequences for Our Planet, Blue Planet II, and most recently, My Octopus Teacher. In 2018, he won a BAFTA for his contribution to Blue Planet II, and in 2019, he was nominated for Outstanding Cinematography at the PrimeTime Emmys.
In 2019 he was one of two cinematographers selected to shoot Apple’s screensavers for Apple TV. He is currently working on Planet Earth 3 and an ocean series for Netflix.
He is a master of his craft, and we are delighted to welcome Roger to the ACS for a truly special event.

Victorian Accreditation Recipients
|

The Accreditation Panel for 2020, comprising Ernie Clark ACS, David Wakeley ACS, Ellery Ryan ACS, Dave Le May ACS, Carolyn Constantine ACS, Peter James ACS ASC, Susan Stitt ACS, Peter Curtis ACS, Kathy Chambers ACS and Ron Johanson OAM ACS assessed this year's 23 applications for Accreditation via Silvertrak's Media Room 3 over a two week period in October.
This is the highest number of applications we have received for judging and it was a huge but enjoyable task to review all their fantastic material.
We had two Victorian members receive their accreditation this year and we couldn't be more thrilled.
A big congratulations to Cameron Barnett ACS, 414, and Ron Ekkel ACS, 421.
