An Evening With Robotface

An Evening with Robotface.

The Australian Cinematographers Society and Robotface invite you to join us for an evening demonstration of our two MRMC (Mark Robert Motion Control) camera robots and high speed Phantom 4K camera.

Who are Robotface?

Robotface are equipped with two of the world’s leading high-speed cinema robots, the BOLT and the BOLT Jnr+.  Powered by Oscar winning technology specifically for filmmakers to operate in sync with ARRI, RED and PHANTOM camera systems, these aren’t just ordinary robotic arm systems. Our motion control arsenal paired with our nine meters of engineered track delivers unparalleled cinematography, unable to be achieved by any other filming method.

Specialising in camera motion control robotics and high speed footage capture, Robotface rigs are utilised both on location and in the studio for all types of projects involving table top, TVC, drama, visual effects, and music videos.

For a cinematographer, this means getting camera movement exactly how you want it and where you want it every time. For a producer, this means no time lost building complicated makeshift camera rigs and for VFX designers camera motion control means the ability to control, repeat and scale the same dynamic camera move over and over again to shoot all the plates needed so that all elements line up for that final dynamic shot.

What will the event be about?

This event provides an opportunity to see both units operating, the multi-award winning BOLT Cinebot and NAB Product of the Year 2021, BOLT Jnr+. The Phantom 4K will also be rigged to demonstrate Phantom integration and the unparalleled capture of cinematic slow motion.

Amongst covering the basics, we’ll also demonstrate how our robots integrate with turntables and fluid and pneumatic systems to create stunning visuals that can only be captured with the precision only offered by camera robotics.

And we’ll also demonstrate how quickly and in real-time moves can be programmed and modified on location.
