Come along for a drink, a meal and some fantastic yarns from TOM STERN ASC AFC who is currently in Victoria shooting "Ice Road 2" with Director Jonathan Hensleigh and starring Liam Neeson. Tom is an American Cinematographer who is best known for his numerous collaborations with Director Clint Eastwood.

Tom started his career as a gaffer in 1977, working with legendary Cinematographer Conrad Hall ASC. Tom moved into Cinematography when he was asked by Eastwood to DP “Blood Work” in 2002. For his work in Changeling (2008) he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography. Tom was also responsible for the Cinematography on such important cinematic works as “Flags of our Fathers” (2006), “Mystic River” (2003), “Invictus” (2009), “American Sniper” (2014), “Sully” (2016) - the list of credits goes on.

Tom is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and the Association of French Directors of Photography (Association Française des Directeurs de la Photographie Cinematographique - AFC) since 2008.

ACS Victoria has been holding our "On The Apple Box: Conversations in Close-Up" events for several years now with great success, previously hosting Shelly Johnson ASC, Kath Chambers ACS, Brent Crockett ACS and many others. These events are informal, convivial and relaxed by design. This "On The Apple Box" will be held upstairs in the private function room at the Limerick Arms Hotel.
