Girl at the Window Screening 

The Australian Cinematographers Society Victoria presents a screening of Girl at the Window followed by a Q&A session with Director of Photography Garry Richards and Director Mark Hartley.

The event is free and open to all ACS, ADG, ADPG, AGSC, ASE, ASSG, AWG and SPA members.

The screening will take place on Tuesday the 20th of September beginning at 6:30pm at Backlot Studios (165 Bank St, South Melbourne VIC 3205)

The ACS would also like to give a special thanks to Kismet Film Productions, Mark Hartley and Garry Richards for making this event possible.

ACS Accreditation

Accreditation applications are now open! If you are a Full member of the ACS for at a minimum of 3 years and working as a professional cinematographer for at least 8 years then maybe it's time to think about applying for accreditation.

16mm Film Workshop

Free independent event coming up in October!

In light of the ACS 'A Wider Lens' report, a group of some of Melbourne’s finest camera crew are organising a workshop to teach some skills and share some knowledge with those groups under-represented in the camera department. 

Over the course of a day participants will learn how to load 16mm film with focus pullers, Sarah Jo Fraser and Lachlan Wright, and also learn how to shoot with DPs Jesse Gohier-Fleet, Joey Knox and Bonita Carzino.

ACS 2022 Victorian and Tasmanian State Awards

The 2022 Victorian and Tasmanian State Awards are fast approaching. This years awards will be held at the State Library of Victoria, Conversation Quarter on Saturday the 12th of November.

More details will be released in the month leading up to the event, including where to book tickets to our first in person awards since 2019.
