Glendyn Ivin will be our 2019 ACS Awards Guest of Honour.

Glendyn Ivin - Guest of Honour

Glendyn Ivin is one of Australia’s leading directors in television, film and commercials. His TV credits include the PUBERTY BLUES Series 1 and 2  for which Glendyn was set up director, the 7 part World War I drama GALLIPOLI and in 2015 THE BEAUTIFUL LIE. In 2017 Glendyn directed the critically acclaimed SAFE HARBOUR  nominated for 6 Logie Awards and recently directed the BBC1 hit drama THE CRY starring Jenna Coleman and Ewen Leslie. Glendyn is currently in post production on his latest feature film, PENGUIN BLOOM.

Glendyn Has worked with many of Australia's top cinematographers including Greig Fraser ACS ASC, Germain McMicking ACS, Toby Oliver ACS, John Brawley and Sam Chiplin.

Glendyn is a great supporter of the ACS and earlier in the year he entertained a packed out room of enthusiastic ACS members with stories and special BTS videos from his time directing The Cry. We'll be sure to hear some great stories from his career when Glendyn talks as our Guest of Honour at the 2019 Awards.

The 53rd Annual ACS Awards for Cinematography 2019 are fast approaching.

down with your colleagues to celebrate wonderful cinematography from Victoria and Tasmania’s best cinematographers.

We are staging the ACS awards once again at the magnificent Collingwood Town Hall, this year hosted
by the incredibly talented and popular actor/director/producer Nick Russell, who will be very well known
to many of you. It’s likely he has either been in front of your lens or behind your shoulder over the last few years.

Saturday 19th October.
Doors at 5.30pm. Awards start at 6pm sharp.

Nick Russell - MC

Nick Russell is a prolific actor, producer and director with extensive credits spanning across the last 20 years – pretty impressive for someone in their 30’s.

As an actor, Nick’s television credits include Playing For Keeps, series favourite Gabe in Channel Seven’s Winners & Losers (Series 3-5) as well guest roles in The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Hamish & Andy’s True Story, Fat Tony & Co., Neighbours, The Doctor Blake Mysteries and Working Dog’s Utopia. Most recently Nick joined the cast of Playing For Keeps and appeared as Fin in the CJZ production Mr Black.  His film credits include SignsSoma and A World of His Own.

Nick is part of the comedy group The Peloton, a Melbourne based production company who produce a range of sketch and narrative Comedy.
