ACS Victoria Annual General Meeting held July 24th 2018

The Victorian Branch of the ACS held its AGM on Tuesday July 24th 2018 at Backlot Studios Melbourne.
All committee positions were declared vacant and a new committee duly elected.
We are very pleased to announce Ellery Ryan ACS is the new President, replacing Warwick Field ACS who held the position for 5 years.

Ellery Ryan ACS began in the film industry in the '70s after a brief time working as swimming pool painter and storeman. He studied law and arts but chose to move into film studies after he saw a notice about a short film course at Monash.
Not long after he was working at The Film House in Melbourne with director Fred Schepisi and DP Ian Baker, both of whom immediately saw his talents. He worked as a camera assistant on The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith and soon began shooting.
He worked in TVC for some time and then worked on Features, TV mini series and Shorts.
Ellery is probably best known for his work on The Great Bookie Robbery, Death In Brunswick, That Eye The Sky, Angel Bay, Secret Life Of Us, Dead Letter Office, Van Diemen's Land, I Love You Too, Emo: The Musical and Is This The Real World.

The ACS awarded Ellery with Accreditation to the society and later he became a Hall Of Fame inductee.

See the links below.

Please welcome Ellery to the position and we hope you support him by attending many events and entering into the awards.
