Join Jill Bilcock AC at our Q&A screening of JILL BILCOCK: DANCING THE INVISIBLE exclusive and complimentary to AFI and AACTA members with a special invitation to ACS Members (limited seats). This documentary illuminates the extraordinary life of the internationally renowned film editor. Recently named a Companion of the Order of Australia, Jills numerous accolades include the prestigious Byron Kennedy Award; Oscar® and BAFTA nominations; and multiple AFI and AACTA Awards. Her credits include Oscar®-winning films MOULIN ROUGE, ELIZABETH, THE YOUNG VICTORIA and ROAD TO PERDITION, as well as Australian classics such as THE DRESSMAKER, STRICTLY BALLROOM, THE DISH and MURIELS WEDDING (to name just a few). JILL BILCOCK: DANCING THE INVISIBLE charts how an outspoken Melbourne arts student in the 1960s became one of the world's most acclaimed film artists. Featuring interviews with industry icons Cate Blanchett, Baz Luhrmann, Jocelyn Moorhouse, Phillip Noyce, Fred Schepisi, Rachel Griffiths and many more. The documentary is written and directed by Axel Grigor, produced by Faramarz K-Rahber and Axel Grigor and the Executive Producer is Sue Maslin. Screening and Q&A: FRIDAY July 6th at 6pm for a 6.30pm Screening followed by Q&A. Venue: Cinema Nova, Lygon St Carlton VIC RSVP Essential. First to reply get the tickets. ACS Members only, no guests. APDG Events present a screening and Q&A of Episode 1 of Picnic at Hanging Rock (2017)
ACS Members have been generously invited by the APDG to attend this event on Friday 6th July. Episode 1 will be screened followed by a Q&A with multi award winning art department and costume designer: Production Designer: Jo Ford Art Director: Simon McCutcheon Set Decorator: Roland Pike Costume Designer: Edie Kurzer FRIDAY 6TH JULY at 7pm followed by Q&A VCA Federation Hall, Grant Street Southbank. FREE for APDG and other guilt members (inc ACS). $10 for non-members Refreshments will be provided. ACS Members must RSVP to APDG using the link below stating you are an ACS Member. RSVP MUST be received by Monday July 2nd.
