| | "All I Had I Gave" by Edward Goldner
Victorian ACS member, cinematographer Edward Goldner visited Russia and several other countries last year and took a series of incredible B&W photographs.
Edward is now exhibiting 15 mural sized silver gelatine prints of his works in Kensington in Melbourne. All I Had I Gave is a collection of portraits set against the crumbling backdrop of once mighty Cold War powers. The series presents a duality in its exploration of vibrant characters enduring, and at times flourishing, within their exhausted landscapes. Goldner traveled between Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan, Georgia and the USA over the course of two years, capturing the series on black and white 35mm film. Each image featured in the exhibition has been handprinted on silver gelatine paper. This process utilises traditional darkroom techniques, free of any digital manipulation. ACS Vic encourages all members, their colleagues and friends to view the exhibition and see the wonderful skills our members have outside of shooting motion picture. The exhibition is called "All I Had I Gave" and runs from Dec 8th till December 23rd. Opening: Dec 8th 6 -9pm
