2016 ACS Victoria and Tasmania Awards - Open for entries and closing this Friday Sept 9th.
At ACS, we know some of you like to live on the edge and enter the awards at the 11th Hour BUT PLEASE NOTE- Entries close 5pm AEST Friday September 9th 2016. That means we need to have your entry forms AND YOUR MEDIA in our hands by then. You can enter online and deliver your media to Cameraquip Melbourne, or our PO Box or upload (upload completed by 1700hrs) but anything we get from 5.01pm Sept 9th will NOT be judged and your entry fee will not be refunded.
Also note that invoices are not issued straight away with your entry. They will be sent as fast as we can do it so don't worry if you don't get an invoice immediately. We will get to you in due course. Please pay immediately upon receipt of the invoice. It is time to enter your best work from the last 12 months into the awards for judging at the 50th Annual ACS Victorian and Tasmanian Awards for Cinematography 2016. ENTRY DATES are Monday August 15th 2015 until Friday September 9th 2016 at 5pm AEST. No entries will be accepted after this entry period. The Awards will be held at The Famous Spiegel Tent, Forecourt of The Arts Centre, Southbank, Melbourne on Saturday November 26th at 7pm. Tickets will be on sale in October. The Awards are open to all Accredited, Full, Active, Student and Cinekids members who are currently financial. Please Note: The Awards Categories have changed this year. Terms and Conditions
Follow these links to see the Terms and Conditions for awards entry, Category Types and the Application form. It is extremely important you follow the instructions carefully. Each year we have entries that cannot be judged due to non-compliance. ACS will not follow up on entries that can't be judged due to wrong file type or labelling or in correct file name protocol. In these cases the entries are simply excluded from the judging and no refund will be made. So please take your time to ensure your entry complies. Submission of both the entry form (one for each entry) and the media must be made within the submission dates of August 15 - Sept 9. All must be received by the closing date. ACS Victoria/Tasmania allows the media to be either delivered or uploaded. See the entry form for details. We have increased the maximum file upload size to 20gb this year. A single entry must be a single file. No file splitting - we won't rejoin them. If you do use the upload option, be sure to follow the instructions and we highly recommend making sure the quality of your entry is as high as possible. Entries that get down rezzed simply for ease of uploading may not look as good for the judges which will heavily impact on the resulting score. Physical submission on a drive/dvd/bluray may serve you better. Don't wait till the last minute. Get onto to it today. Good Luck
