Join the highly talented and experienced team of Colourist Deidre McClelland CSI and Cinematographer Ellery Ryan ACS in a One Day Masterclass in professional Colour Grading

ACS Victoria is committed to bringing ACS members and industry colleagues high standard, expertise Masterclasses from time to time.

Next month we are offering a fantastic opportunity to learn from two of the industry's top exponents in their field. This Colour Grading Masterclass is a one day Intensive, designed to explore the full potential and capabilities of a professional colour grading suite in the hands of experts.

The course is aimed at cinematographers who want to learn more about what can be achieved in the grade to improve the quality of outcome of their work. Having an in-depth knowledge of the grading suite will make you a better cinematographer by allowing you to work quickly and efficiently on set knowing what can be enhanced and improved from your camera original images.

Using Soundfirm's state-of-the art colour grading suite, colourist Deidre McClelland CSI will work with cinematographer Ellery Ryan ACS over about 8 hours as they take ungraded footage into the system and go about producing slick, finished scenes ready for screening.

The procedures may include working with Primaries to create a basic balance and then incorporating the power of Secondaries, mattes, keys, windows, tracking, stabilisation etc to produce a wonderful final image far beyond the ability of desktop graders with limited experience. Understanding what can be done will ensure you don't cut yourself short of the best image you can possibly achieve.

Participants are invited to engage in the process and ask questions as we go along.

Don't miss this great opportunity. Numbers are limited to 20, so will sell out fast.
