CAMERA DEPARTMENT ATTACHMENT (VIDEO SPLIT OPERATOR)
The Professional Attachment Program, funded by Film Victoria and managed by Open Channel, is a response to the need to provide skills development opportunities for early career Victorian screen industry practitioners. The program provides a significant opportunity for Victorian practitioners to gain experience within some of Victoria’s established film and television production companies and address skills gaps in the local industry.

A paid position is available as a Camera Department Attachment on a high profile and award winning television series being produced in Melbourne. The successful applicant will be trained to operate the Video Split for the Camera Department for seven weeks.

The successful applicant must be available full time for seven weeks from the 26th April until the 10th June 2016.

Applications Close 9.00am Monday 18 April 2016.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The successful applicant for this position will be attached to the Camera Department and will be trained in the operation of the Video Split as well as other activities of the Camera Department. This position is one suited to an entry-level practitioner. The successful candidate will require:

Some knowledge of the various roles in a camera department
Some knowledge of and some experience in working with cameras
A keen interest and a strong commitment to work in the film and television industry

HOW TO APPLY

A Cover Letter (1-2 pages) indicating your short and long term career objectives and reasons for wanting to undertake this Attachment
Please carefully read the guidelines before submitting your application. NB: You must have been permanently reading in Victoria for at least the last 12 months to be eligible and over 18 years old.
