2nd Assistant Camera Course completed
The Victorian Branch of the ACS conducted its inaugural 9 Day Intensive Course training participants in the role of 2nd Assistant Camera. The course ran from January 27 through to February 6th. ACS decided to create the 2AC course in response to cries from the industry of the lack of properly trained 2nd Assistants available for production. The applications came flooding in and we chose 10 to take part. The course was held at rental facilities and a post production house to allow the students access to real-world environments. Our lecturers and speakers were top class active industry professionals. Feedback has been wonderful and very endorsing of the course from the many sources including the students themselves who were overwhelmed with the depth of the course, and also lecturers and facilities. We are extremely happy with the outcome.
ACS is pleased to announce all ten students satisfactorily met the written and practical requirements of assessment and examination. As a result the participants will be awarded ACS endorsed certificates to help them further their career and validate their ability with future employers and camera rental facilities. The course would not have been possible without the assistance and amazing generosity of the industry. ACS Vic would like to thank the following.
