Tomorrow is the highlight of the ACS year - our annual awards for cinematography. ONLINE TICKETS CLOSE IN THIS AFTERNOON and it REALLY IS your last chance to buy the last remaining seats....don't be the one who didn't go. Each year ACS members submit entries of their best work and a panel of 5 judges award prizes to the most outstanding work. The judges commented on the very high level of work being done by Victorian and Tasmanian members both in Australia and overseas. There is no doubt we have an incredible pool of talent amongst our ranks here in the Southern states. I believe we achieved a record number of awards being presented this year due to the wonderful cinematography across all categories. This year marks our 47th year of Awards for Cinematography. We have big plans for 2016 when we celebrate our 50th! Next week the awards celebration will be held once again at the ANZ Pavilion at The Arts Centre Melbourne. The event kicks off at 7pm Saturday November 23rd and promises to be a wonderful night. Lawrence Mooney will join us once more as our Master of Ceremonies and keep us entertained and on schedule in his enigmatic manner with the occasional irreverent dig at cinematographers which is lost on us of course, because we are after all, perfect in every way. Right?
