One of the often heard statements when looking at diversity is “We would work with more women in the camera department, but we don’t know any”.  This event is an effort to change that.

Thanks to the support of Screen Tasmania, we will showcase around 10 local female cinematographers. Several other local female cinematographers / camera crew will also be there, but won't be making presentations. 

This is a great opportunity for everyone to meet and mix as we’re also inviting a range of  people from the broader Tasmanian screen industry - so it will be quite a gathering.  

It’s  a chance for ACS members to show support for the women working behind the lens in Tasmania.

As you know In 2022 Erika Addis became our National President. Erika is very supportive of this initiative and will be there, along with Sandi Sissel who has inspired women cinematographers around the world and now calls Tasmania home.

We will also have a seperate ACS members catch-up with Erika on Friday 26th - Details TBA.

This event will be a great opportunity for us all to become better aware of the talent that’s out there, and be a catalyst to create more opportunities for women working behind the lens in Tasmania. Please come along.
