Event Reminder - Quoll Farm

Wednesday June 2nd

We're a bit over a week away from our next ACS Tas Event with two local members, who specialise in Nature and Wildlife cinematography.

Simon Plowright and Nick Hayward have been quietly going about their business in recent years, shooting for programs like David Attenborough's Tasmania and creating documentaries like The Last Devil. Earlier this year their latest project Quoll Farm aired on ABC-TV.

Simon and Nick created, produced, shot, and in Simon's case, presented and narrated, this beautiful and captivating documentary. It's a delightful and authentic, locally made film that features some unique and captivating Tasmanian wildlife.

Quoll Farm is now building international audiences as Japanese and European broadcasters screen this documentary.

Together, Simon and Nick will discuss this project and answer our questions about how they went about making it. They'll talk about the challenges of filming nocturnal animal life and how they managed to capture such endearing and intimate sequences with the Quoll's.
