EVENT REMINDER

THIS COMING THURSDAY - 3rd MARCH

David Brill AM ACS

ACS National Ambassador, David Brill AM ACS has had a long and distinguished  history of covering News, Current Affairs and shooting documentaries around the world. His passion for telling compelling and thoughtful stories is as strong now as it was when his career began in Tasmania over 50 years ago.

David Brill AM ACS.
The respect David showed for his fellow Tasmanians, as he documented the 1967 bushfires around Hobart, has become a hallmark of his cinematographic style.  A recent documentary which aired on ABC Television, gave us an insight into David's approach to cinematography, as it chronicled his work for 4-CORNERS,  particularly during the Vietnam war.  David Brills Story : On the Frontlines was produced by fellow ACS Tasmania member Robert Heazlewood and Adam Reibel was also part of the production team.

Images of David at work through the decades in some of the worlds hot-spots.

David's remarkable and relentless career extended through the following four decades, taking him to every corner of the globe.  He still works regularly behind the lens.  David will share  his thoughts on cinematography and the highs and lows of shooting and producing many long-form Current Affairs segments and Documentaries, often as a solo operator.  Davids passion for our craft is infectious and we're certain this will be a great presentation.
