Frederique Olivier and Lewa Pertl are both very passionate and articulate and we're sure their presentations will be excellent. Both have scientific backgrounds that have lead them into filmmaking. Frederique will be talking about and showing some of her work on documentaries in the Antarctic and most recently using standard and remote 'robot' cameras on the BBC 'Spy in the Wild' series you may have seen on the Nine Network. Lewa will be talking about how the scientific method aligns with her creative process in documentary film making, what gear she uses and the challenges she faces in shooting live events.
This is a free event and non ACS members are also very welcome. WHEN: Monday 1st May. 6pm to 8:45pm. WHERE: The Philip Smith Centre which is part of the old original Tas Uni Campus in Glebe Hobart - 2 Edwards Street. RSVP's are appreciated but not compulsory.
