Hi everyone,
After a year of waiving ACS memberships, due to a certain pandemic and the resultant downturn in our industry, it's time to return to normality.
Overnight you would hopefully have received an Invoice for the 2021/22 membership year, which begins on July 1st.
This year the renewal system was to be automated, but unfortunately it's not up and running in time. Please be patient, as Tas Branch Treasurer, Mitchell Woolnough will need to process invoices and payments manually from his hotel room desk in Seoul.
Prompt payment is very much appreciated, and of course if your payment is made before June 30th you should be able to claim your membership on your upcoming Tax Return.
If anyone is still struggling financially, could you please let Mitch or Pete know. We can work something out.
It's also a good time to check your membership status. If you feel you're in the the wrong membership category please let us know, and we can adjust and send a new invoice for the appropriate category. Furthermore if you wish to relinquish your membership please let us know ASAP, so we can take you off the database and therefore keep the ACS Tas branch fees paid to the National body accurate. It's tough for our branch when we pay capitation fees for people who are no longer paying Tas Branch members.
Now is also a great time to dive into your membership profile and update your details, especially your postal and email address. While you're there you can select which branch newsletters you wish to receive and upload your photo, bio and webpage details if you wish. Just go to the ACS web page - cinematographer.org.au, click on the member log in (top right corner) and go from there. You can reset your password if you've forgotten it.
Kind regards,
Peter Curtis ACS
