COVID-19 willing our AGM will still be held on August 18 at Citizen Restaurant followed by a Chinese Banquet, to attend book via this link by August 11. Bookings are essential due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Want to be SA President....... or a committee member and influence what our branch does then nominate to be on the committee. Download a Nomination Form and a Proxy Form if you can't attend. Forms to be received by us before CoB August 11. It is not possible to be nominated on the night!

Please note nominations also need to be signed by any 2 Corporate Members i.e. Active, Full, Accredited, Retired & Life members - these are also the only membership categories that can vote at the AGM.

Schedule: 6:15pm for 6:30 AGM
Cost: Free only to financial ACS Corporate members

The entry window is open from 9:00am August 1 until 23:59pm local time August 21 for the 2021 State & Territory ACS Awards for Cinematography for financial ACS members only. It is not possible to enter late as the entry system closes on the ACS website.

This year we have reverted back to the usual system of entry fees and the Award plaques being covered by the entry fee. If you win an Award and don't wish to receive a plaque you can let us know but please note there will be no refund involved.

Free Screening August 30

All ACS members are invited to the rescheduled South Australian screening of the latest Anifex stop motion short film The Better Angels described by the Creative Director of the Melbourne International Animation Film Festival as “poignantly beautiful.”

When: Monday August 30
Time: 6:30pm for a 7:00pm screening. The session will go for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
Where: The Capri Cinema, Goodwood

Cost is free, although if you can, please buy a glass of something or some Jaffas to roll down the aisles, as all the takings will go to helping The Capri to weather the storm brought on by the pandemic.

The evening will consist of three short films showcasing the Independent Film Award winning (R) Evolution, The AACTA award winning short Gargoyle and then the new film The Better Angels, shot by Anifex cinematographer Richard Chataway ACS.

The evening will conclude with a short Q&A and there will be a few props and puppets for you to see. We hope to see you there.

Current financial ACS members are welcome to join our Facebook group. Members can post their work, connect across states, link to events, ask for advice, and put up equipment for sale, etc. To join, follow the link below and request to join, and one of your local committee members can approve your request.
