Cine Equipment Garage Sale

Trash 'n Treasure Bazaar

Here's the opportunity to pick up a bargain or maybe sell that bit of gear that's been sitting on the shelf for far too long. As they say "one person's rubbish is another's treasure!"

Picture Hire Australia is hosting a special Trash and Treasure event on Saturday March 18 from 9am until noon.

This special event will be similar to a “Garage Sale”, various vendors will have tables setup with a range of film and video equipment for sale.

Gold ACS sponsors Picture Hire Australia and Pro AV Solutions will both have stalls. Anyone else who wishes to setup a table are welcome to register:

Vendors have to provide their own table, shelter and chair. Please note that this is a cash only event, and vendors will be responsible for handling their own cash and change.

The stalls will be in the carpark at the rear of Picture Hire, 28 Clarke St, Norwood.

Free Otto Bloom Tickets

The SA branch still has a couple of double passes to an advance screening of the upcoming film The Death and Life of Otto Bloom, staring Xavier Samuel and Rachel Ward, about the chronicle of the life and great love of an extraordinary man who experiences time in reverse – passing backwards through the years while remembering the future.

The screening is at Cinema Nova, on Wednesday March 15 at 6.45pm.

To register for the double passes please email me by Monday March 13. Limit of 1 double pass per member, on a 1st come 1st served basis. I will let members who have been successful know via return email.

The film charts Bloom's rise from scientific oddity to international superstar as he searches for love and meaning in this strange, backwards world. Over the years, he has a string of romances while challenging our preconceived notions about life, death and the nature of time. When the world proves to be not yet ready for Bloom's radical ideas, his fall from grace is as swift as it is tragic. But for Bloom, the end is only the beginning…
