From the Pres.

Hi All,

On behalf of the SA committee may I take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones all the best for Christmas.

Our Chrissie drinks date has changed to Thursday December 13 starting @ 1800 and we now need you to RSVP by Monday Dec 10. More details below.

The awards pics are uploaded to our site so use the link and check them out and you can check out the results too.

Don't forget to collect your USB's, DVD's or BluRay entries from Anifex during office hours, 65 King William Street Kent Town, ask for JoAnne or Jo. Gold winners have been sent to Sydney for the National judging and will be available after that for pick up.

Recently I attended the Vic/Tas State Awards, in my capacity as National Vice Pres, because Ronaldski Johansonivich ACSski was in Poland representing the ACS at Imago & Cameraimage. I must say that the Vics put on a good show.....almost as good as ours. Well nearly! It's interesting to attend other State's awards to compare and not only that they let me win the major door prize of the night.

Anyway have a great break - cheers,

Ernie

Blackmagic Cinema Camera Review Invite

Gold sponsor, ProAV Solutions, invites ACS members to review the Blackmagic Cinema Camera at their showroom on Wednesday Dec 5 @ 1800.

They have been lucky enough to get their hands on a Blackmagic Cinema Camera which is now on display in their shop. It includes a built-in SSD recorder, popular open standard uncompressed RAW and compressed file formats, compatibility with EF mount lenses, LCD touchscreen monitoring plus metadata entry, all packed into an exciting hand held design!

So here's a great opportunity to have a shoot out test and a casual play with both the Blackmagic & Canon C100 cameras. Feel Free to bring down any Canon EF Mount Lenses you may wish to test out on the cameras.

They will also cover workflow and go through DaVinci Resolve too for the Raw side of things. Beer, wine, soft drink and pizza will be provided.
