I’d like to wish you all a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year on behalf of the ACS QLD Branch Committee. 2021 is already a busy year so let’s do everything we can to keep the pandemic under control. 
 
I would like to remind those who have not yet completed the Camera Workforce Census 2021 that we only get one go at this, so I really encourage you all to take the time to have your say.

Please feel free to forward this link to any of your camera crew or colleagues, whether they be ACS members or not, as we would welcome their participation. It’s up to us to make the most of this world first research opportunity and make sure all voices are heard whether they are new to the industry or have years of experience. Please spread the word as the Census will close very soon at the end of January.
 
The ACS QLD Awards plaques are due to arrive in Brisbane next week. Once they're here, you can collect yours from Lemac in Bowen Hills if you are in S-E QLD, and the remainder will be sent by mail.
 
38 members, friends and sponsors attended the Post Awards party at Soapbox Beer in late November and a very good time was had by all. Places were limited by COVID-19 of course, but also numbers were low because so many members were working and couldn’t attend. It’s great that so many of our members were so busy.
