ACS Queensland General Branch Meeting

Let your voice be heard or want to make a difference ? Our ACS Queensland General Branch Meeting is quickly approaching. We are looking to expand our committee to create greater change and better our community.

Please stay tune for details of when and location if you would like to attend.

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone you think may be suitable for the role, we will post an application form for you to fill out.

ACS Queensland Branch Awards Entries Now Open

A reminder that the 2023 ACS Queensland Award Entry will be close August 23rd (11.59pm local time AEST). So get your entries in if you want to enter.

The Entry Form is only open at these times. No late entries will be accepted. Only current financial members of the ACS are permitted to enter, so if you have not renewed your annual membership (2023/2024), please do so immediately in order to enter the Awards.

2023 ACS Accreditation Entries

ACS Accreditation is the highest honour to an ACS member !!

If you have been winning several ACS Gold awards at the State and possibly National levels, then maybe you should consider submitting for Accreditation.

Submissions are accepted annually and Accreditation assessments take place at our National HQ in the second half of each year. It will be announced during the Queensland ACS Awards night. This year, entries are open between 1st September and 21st September. Submissions will not be accepted after 21st September.

HBO Camera Assessment Series Screening

Another great turnout on Thursday night for the screening of the HBO Camera Assessment Series which also featured some insight into the Australian portion of the shoot by Aaron Corera from XM2

Evening with Peter McCaffrey

There was a fantastic turnout on Thursday night at the Griffith Film School Cinema to the Evening with Peter McCaffrey.

Peter discussed with the crowd a wide range of topics from early career progression, the move from Steadicam operator to cinematographer as well as some technical insights into some of his favourite projects.
