It's that time of year again, where we all come together to celebrate the year that was in Cinematography! Tickets for the Cutting Edge 2015 ACS Queensland Awards for Cinematography are available for purchase, so be quick and book your tickets now to make sure you don't miss out. This year we will be back in Brisbane, with the awards ceremony booked in for the 21st November at The Tivoli. Tables will be maximum 8 people, and we are offering a 15% off deal if you make a single booking for a full table of eight (8), conditions apply*. AWARDS GUEST OF HONOUR: STEPHEN F. WINDON ACS ASC
We have two announcements for this year's awards, to get you excited for the big night!
The ACS QLD Branch is privileged to host STEPHEN F. WINDON ACS ASC as our Guest of Honour at the 2015 Awards. Stephen is an Emmy-nominated Australian cinematographer whose 38 years of working behind the movie camera are highlighted by numerous international accolades and awards. It is a very special occasion to have a cinematographer of Stephen's caliber attend the awards, so don't miss out on what is going to be a great night. We are also excited to have MIKE GOLDMAN as this year's Awards MC, guiding us through the night of awards and accolades. Mike is a familiar face in households across the country. He has clocked up hundreds of hosting hours of live international and national television shows, in addition to being a radio host for over 20 years interviewing some of the biggest names in music on 2Day FM and Triple M Sydney.

SPECIAL EVENT WITH STEPHEN F. WINDON ACS ASC
As part of the 2015 QLD ACS Awards celebration, Lemac will be hosting a special presentation evening with Stephen F. Windon ACS ASC, exclusively for ACS Members. This event will be a rare opportunity to hear Stephen discuss his prolific work as a cinematographer internationally, transitioning from a news and documentary cameraman for the ABC, to one of the most sought after cinematographers in Hollywood. In 2010, Windon received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie for the Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks/Gary Goetzman produced, HBO epic The Pacific. During 2013 Stephens work was seen worldwide with the summer hit, 3D action adventure G.I. Joe Retaliation for Paramount, starring Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis. 2015 saw the release of Fast and Furious 7, directed by James Wan and Stephens fourth film in the franchise. His three other pics in this highly successful series being, Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6, all collaborations with Director Justin Lin. Windon has just completed principle photography on Star Trek Beyond for Paramount Pictures, securing his position as a versatile cinematographer of big budget filmmaking.
