QUEENSLANDERS WIN BIG AT THE NATIONAL ACS AWARDS
On Saturday night Tasmania hosted the 44th National ACS Awards for Cinematography, with plenty of Queensland members going home winners. Held for the first time this year, the ACS AWARDS EXPO ran over two days in lead up to the Awards night, with many of the National Sponsors running exhibits of new equipment, ideas, technology and practical demonstrations. As part of the weekend there was also a very special Q&A Screening of Peter Weir's iconic film GALLIPOLI. Hosted by Dick Marks OAM, the panel consisted of Peter Weir AM, Russell Boyd ACS ASC, John Seale AM ACS ASC and David Burr ACS; making for a once in a lifetime discussion with these brilliant filmmakers.
