MEAA INSURANCE LAUNCH PARTY

As some of you have heard over the last several months, Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA) and Coverforce have joined forces to provide MEAA members with a tailor-made Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance policy to suit the needs of screen technician members. This will ensure our STAA members obtain quality coverage for a premium below what would be attainable in the open market.

To celebrate, the MEAA will be launching the new policy at the Kurrawa Surf Club on Sunday February 8. It’ll be a great opportunity to hear about all the policy and ask questions, and a chance to catch up at the start of a new year.

Please RSVP to ellen.kear@meaa.org by Wednesday, February 4. Any questions or queries, please call Ellen Kear on 0423 073 977.

To join MEAA or reactivate your membership, visit: http://www.alliance.org.au/join.htm

THE UNDERCURRENT LAUNCHES ON YOUTUBE

Here’s a little something that was released on social media from our Gold Sponsor GRAETZ MEDIA - the start of a new web series called THE UNDERCURRENT.

Dan Graetz (who also appears in this), shot this over a weekend on Red Epic, 5k 2:1 with a single 25mm Red Pro Prime, reframing in post. Utilising his camBLOCK system, some basic lighting with KinoFlo Diva’s and a Kamio ring light, this is a great example of how a simple approach with very limited time, can work for the content.
