Win a double pass CARELESS LOVE, a John Duigan film

CARELESS LOVE tells the story of Linh, a Vietnamese Australian university student who secretly starts part-time work as an escort. Managing to keep her two lives separate, she develops an affinity with one of her clients, an enigmatic American art dealer who books her on a regular basis. But when she falls for a fellow student her worlds collide and she must deal with the emotional chaos that follows.

Directed by acclaimed Australian feature film director John Duigan and shot by Kathryn Milliss, CARELESS LOVE opens nationally on 17th May. Queensland success at the National ACS Awards

The 2012 ACS National Awards for Cinematography were held in Sydney on Saturday 5th May at the Manly Pacific Hotel. There was a strong Queensland turnout, as it appeared to be a promising year for the Sunshine State with so many members nominated.

Our members ended up taking away a number of Golden Tripods, with special mention going to Ben Nott ACS, who once again earned the honour of being judged Australian Cinematographer of the Year, receiving the Milli Award. QUEENSLANDER!

'Manipulation of Time' workshop - SAVE THE DATE

This exciting workshop will bring together some of the most experienced shooters of timelapse and motion control cinematography.

Heading up the workshop will be Brendan Williams ACS, discussing the different techniques for manipulating time, from timelapse to bullet-time and everything in between. Other speakers will include Daniel Graetz and Jeff Gaunt, who both share a wealth of knowledge on the latest technology, as well as the entire process with this style of cinematography from capture to post workflow.
