2011 has been a great year for many Cinematographers and now is your opportunity to show off your work to your peers. That's right entries for the 2011 Qld and NT ACS awards can be submitted. Entrants must be current financial members of the QLD or NT Branches of the ACS, to join click here. Or renew your membership by using the members login on the top right of the ACS web site. Introducing the new category: Virtual Cinematography 2011 sees the introduction of a new category specifically for Virtual Cinematography. Computer generated imagery (CGI) for productions created or enhanced with the use of a virtual cine camera with virtual lighting, completed by ACS Full or Associate members. Multi Camera News has also been reintroduced. See the Award Categories link below for more details. THE DEADLINE FOR AWARDS ENTRIES IS 1700HRS 21 OCTOBER. This includes the deadline for receiving physical entries such as tapes, discs and USB drives. NO entries will be accepted after this date.

The Awards dress standard is Cocktail/Lounge Suit.

Places are still available for this great workshop with Anthony Sines ACS and Tim McGahan ACS, but you better get in quick. This is a hands on intensive lighting workshop aimed specifically at news, TV magazine and documentary shooters. We will work through the fundamentals of lighting, qualities of light, using available light, lighting fixtures and more. To register your interest please email with a short bio to the QLD branch.
