January 2024

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

2024 is going to be an exciting year for the NT branch of the ACS. With our industry continuing to grow here in the NT we are very proud of the home grown talent that continues to shine on an national and international stage! Last year Allan Collins ACS was the honoured guest of the ACS Awards ceremony and Warwick Thornton ACS was presented his ACS letters by our vice president Shane Mulcahy at the Queensland/NT Awards held in Brisbane.

Shane had first taught Warwick Thornton ACS at CAAMA more than 35 years ago so it was a touching moment for both of them as Warick received his letters.

We have such a small industry here in the NT and we need to all work together to help each other and continue to grow. We wish all our members good luck on all your upcoming projects and please feel free to contact us if you have any news or photos to share and if you are in need of crew, gear or anything industry related.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, DRINKS

ACS NT will be holding a get together on the first Thursday of every month in Darwin. This is open to all members and everyone in our industry from editors, sound, photographers, make up artists, journalists, producers and more, so please spread the word.

We hope to catch up with as many of you as possible there!
