A very Happy New Year to you all on behalf of the ACS NSW Branch Committee. The year is already showing signs of being a busy one so let’s keep this pandemic under control so our industry can get back on track. A big thank you to all our colleagues on the Northern Beaches who carried the load of the recent lockdown to keep all of us safe.
Whilst we aren’t holding an official Drop In webinar this month I would like to declare this Thursday January 21st Census Day for all those who have not yet completed the Camera Workforce Census 2021.
We only get one go at this, so I would encourage you all to take the time to have your say.
Please feel free to forward this link to any of your camera crew or colleagues, whether they be ACS members or not, as we would welcome their participation. It’s up to us to make the most of this world first research opportunity and make sure all voices are heard whether they are new to the industry or have years of experience. Please spread the word as the Census is due to close at the end of the month.
I look forward to working with all our sponsors and resuming our ACS Drop Ins from February and we are hoping that we might be back in HQ sooner rather than later. Our last Diversity, Inclusion and Reconciliation committee meeting discussed some great ideas that will be rolled out throughout the year. Cinekids is off and running again with gusto led by David Lewis ACS and there are plenty of fun events in the pipeline.
Stay safe everyone and hope to see you all face to face soon.
