ACS NSW 2019 Annual General Meeting
Mark August 15th in your diary for the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the NSW Branch.
If you would like to have some influence over how your branch is run, consider nominating for the committee or attending the AGM to vote in the committee for 2019/20. All positions need to be elected on the night.
Members are invited to nominate themselves, or another member, to be on the incoming committee either as a general committee member or for a specific position. Please ensure if you are nominating another member that they are a currently financial and willing to commit to the position.
Current committee and executive members are also required to submit a nomination form. Prospective committee members must be prepared to give time to committee meetings and regular NSW Branch functions.
Note: Nominations close on Thursday 8th August 2019. The ACS NSW Annual General Meeting will be held at the ACS National HQ. Level 2, 26 Ridge Street, North Sydney at 5:30pm on Thursday 15th August.
The AGM should only take a short while with the remainder of the night being devoted to our regular third Thursday Drop In.

A Reminder - July Drop In TONIGHT!!!
For his work "Ember Storm - Menai Night Fire Sequence", cinematographer Kevin Hudson won a Gold Plaque at the 2018 NSW/ACT Awards in the "Syd Wood ACS Local/National News" category and that translated into a Gold Tripod win at the 2019 Nationals. This was Kevin's 5th National Award four of which were Gold Tripods.
Kevin will be our guest at the Drop In tonight where he will screen his winning entry and discuss his approach to cinematography from News, Current Affairs and Lifestyle perspectives. These are important area of cinematography and ones that we experience on a daily basis but ones that most of us are not particularly familiar with. Kevin's presentation will give us an insight into a side of cinematography that the majority of us don't experience on a practical level.
ACS HQ tonight - 18th July . Doors open as usual at 6pm.

Entries in the ACS NSW 2019 Awards for Cinematography will be accepted from August 1st (9am) until August 21st (6pm).
