Christmas Drop In
This month sees our last Drop In of the year and as our guests last year proved to be so popular ACS NSW has invited Christmas Cheer & ACS Goodwill to once again join us at the December Drop In. Make your way to ACS HQ (address below) on Thursday 21st December and celebrate the season with fellow members, sponsors and guests. Doors will be open from 6pm.

Seasons greetings and a Merry Christmas from me and the NSW committee. What a great year we had. Our NSW Awards were very popular and there was so much great work submitted that our Guest of Honour was gob smacked at the quality and consistency of the photography and said the industry was "in safe hands" after seeing all the wonderful vision shot by you our members. All our Drop Ins were well attended and this consistency will keep going into 2018 as we have some new and revealing news to present to you our members in the coming months. Wishing you a safe time across the season and I know a lot of you will be working news, getting into helicopters, shooting The Sydney to Hobart, shooting bush fires and all the other disasters that a NSW summer throws at us. So Merry Christmas to all and see you next year,

Awards Collection
Members who are a 2017 Award recipient but were unable to receive their plaque on the night, can collect it at HQ on any of our third Thursday Drop In evenings or on a Friday by appointment with David Lewis ACS (David's email address is below). 2017 Awards entry media, USB Hard Drive etc. can also be collected at the same times. Also, for those who may have missed them, Eirini Alligiannis' great photos of the 2017 Awards can be viewed or downloaded using this link:
AFTRS Open Short Courses
Upcoming short courses at AFTRS include Advanced Lighting Skills next February, an advanced lighting course for cinematographers wanting to expand their knowledge in lighting for film and television drama, plus TV Shooter Producer in January and Camera & Sound Basics in February.
