A message from the President
|
|
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Looks like the present lockdown might be with us a bit longer than we had all hoped so now more than ever is the time to check in on friends and work associates and ask the simple question “Are you OK?”.
The ACS NSW Branch AGM is held on Thursday, August 19th at 630pm via Zoom. Joining us directly after in a fantastic webinar is Director and cinematographer, Adam Geiger who will take us behind the scenes on some of his natural history and science productions including Life in Colour with David Attenborough. Please register for both AGM and webinar with the same link in below in this newsletter.
I would encourage anyone wanting to make a contribution to the NSW Committee to consider filling out the nomination form, via the link, before the closing date of this Thursday, August 12th at 6 pm. We have a great team and always welcome members who want to make a difference to our Society.

NSW award entries are open so now is the time to organise and enter your work before the closing date on August 21st at 11.59 pm.

Accreditation assessment will also be open from September 1st- 30th 2021. If you are interested please contact me in advance so I can advise and help with your application;

The NSW Branch AGM meeting will be held at the ACS HQ on Thursday 19th August @ 6:30 pm.
Nominations close midnight Thursday 12th August, 7 days prior to the NSW Branch AGM.
Please download and return the nomination form by the due date if you wish to stand for any Executive or Committee positions.

Adam is a Director, Writer, Producer and Director of Photography with over 25 years of science, history and natural history experience. He specialises in marine and underwater content – though his films have delved into diverse topics, from the Dingo of Australia’s outback to the surprisingly intelligent, urban pigeon, and the social impact of alcohol.
|
|
|
For decades, Adam has been creating high-rating, award-winning content such as David Attenborough’s Life in Colour, Secrets of the Whales, Earth Moods, Shark Beach with Chris Hemsworth and most recently, Hitler’s Secret Bomb.
|
|
|
