"Hyperlapse - How to do it Right"

"Hyperlapse", also known as "motion timelapse"is a technique of shooting a timelapse sequence with long camera movement and without any specialized gear other than a simple still photography tripod.
The technique involves manually moving the tripod after capturing every frame and later stabilizing the footage in post. There are some tricks of the trade of course and to do it right takes some practice.

Our guest at the Drop In this month will be recent NSW Award winner
Pavel Trotsenko
who specializes in Hyperlapse. He'll explain how to shoot it, what's captured by the camera and how to stabilize the footage.

Come along to ACS HQ (address below) this Thursday, 16th February to view some of Pavel’s stunning work and learn his "tricks of the trade". Doors to HQ will open as usual at 6pm and Pavel will start his presentation at around 6:45pm.

Canon Australia will be hosting a special evening with Brett Danton and Ashleigh Carter at the Sydney launch of the new Cinema EOS C700.

In addition to this, crews are allowed up to two batteries that have a capacity of between 100 and 160 Wh in their carry-on.
