I Am Emmanuel Screening

Nicola Daley ACS

As you read above Nicola Daley, now
Nicola Daley ACS, was not only Accredited at the Awards last week but she also won a Gold plaque for her work on the short film “I Am Emmanuel”.

Nicola is travelling back to the UK shortly but before leaving she would like to screen her winning entry for members and guests.
November 13th is the date and ACS National HQ is the venue. Doors will open at 6:30pm for a 7pm kick off.

Here’s a short synopsis:

Emmanuel is determined not to let the past define his future. After fleeing from war-torn Sudan with his family, he finds the chance to start a new life in Australia offers many opportunities, and equally, many challenges. Accepted into the Palm Springs short film festival, and directed by Genevieve Clay-Smith, and shot by Nicola Daley ACS, the filmmakers worked directly with the members of the Sudanese community to create a powerful and emotive story about one man’s struggle against his past.

Come along to watch the film and stay around for a drink and a chat afterwards.

A note that Nicola’s screening is not our regular Thursday night Drop In.
Our November Drop In will be held on the 20th.
