2013 National Awards - TIME TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS
The 2013 National ACS Awards for Cinematography are less than two weeks away. You will shortly receive an email detailing the schedule of events for the 24th, 25th & 26th of May. If you haven't already done so now's the time to book your tickets and arrange your schedule for a great weekend in the nation's capitol. See the links below for details.
May Drop In
Our next Drop In will be on May 16th from 6pm at ACS National HQ Level 2 26 Ridge St North Sydney. ACS National sponsor Lemac has a tradition of presenting an annual NAB Report on video. This year's report will be the feature of the May Drop In. These hugely popular, informative and entertaining video presentations were started years ago by Lemac founder the late John Bowring ACS and the 2013 version promises to follow the tradition. Come along on Thursday night for what will be an entertaining Drop In. Thank you to John Seale ACS ASC and David Burr ACS aided by Michelle Pizanis for a great evening at the April Drop In. The HQ was packed with over ninety members and sponsors as John and David recounted their experience of shooting Mad Max Fury Road over five months in the desert of Namibia.
Don McAlpine "Carte Blanche"
As part of the ACS "A Shining Light" weekend in Canberra Don McAlpine ACS ASC will be attending the National Film & Sound Archive, Arc Cinema where he will select and introduce two "carte blanche" sessions of his work. 2013 NSW/ACT Awards Entries
Entries for the 2013 NSW/ACT Awards for Cinematography will open on the 12th August so it's time for you to start thinking about what you may want to enter and to gather your material together in preparation. Details for entry formats and conditions will be available over the next couple of months.
