This free event at AFTRS will certainly be of interest to some of our members so why not gain some insight into the VFX world by spending a few hours of your time this coming Saturday.

VFX Studio Showcase:

Showcasing the collaborative and practical nature of the creation of VFX productions:  

10.00 am welcome and preview of VFX work by Ian Brown, VFX lecturer at AFTRS  

Includes Kyle Rowling and Blake Wells performing a pirate duel.   

Kyle is a seasoned fight coordinator, having worked on Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones, as well as Troy, Spartacus and many other high-profile projects.   

Afterward he will give a talk on staging techniques for fight sequences, with particular emphasis on working with VFX to be followed by stunt legend Grant Page.

11.30 am - Igor Nay delivers a presentation on Production Design.  

12.30 pm - Lewis Morley prop maker extraordinaire will give a presentation on Miniatures for VFX features.

Lewis' credits also include Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones, as well as Dark City and many other A-list features.

1.00 pm - questions and lunch.
