Michael Beresford-Jones
Michael Beresford-Jones Sydney based cinematographer and ACS member Michael Beresford-Jones has recently been in London shooting his first feature film. Titled Twenty8K Michael shot the film over six weeks in and around the new Olympic site and he used a combination of RedMX and Canon 5D with Cooke S4 lenses. The film stars Parminder Nagra from ER and Stephen Dillane.
David Gribble Moves to Digital
David Gribble ACS is just back from Halifax, Nova Scotia where he was shooting his 5th TV movie in the Jesse Stone series. He was rewarded this year with an ASC nomination in the television movie/miniseries category for his last film Jesse Stone: No Remorse. Having previously used Super 16 this time around David was shooting with two Red cameras with MX sensors and a Sony F3 and apart from a few "Red moments" has enjoyed the move to digital.
Geoffrey Wharton - Malaysian Tourism
Sydney based DOP Geoff Wharton ACS is in Malaysia on a 16 day shoot for Malaysian Tourism.This is his third campaign for Tourism Malaysia as Director/Dop in the last four years. The shoot covers everything from studio, exterior/interior location day and night, aerials and underwater. Geoffrey is shooting Red MX with Master Primes and Optima 24-290, Canon 7D, Gopro Hero and Sony Nex 5.
