The Canon C200 takes creativity and flexibility and moulds it together to form an exceptional system and the latest addition to the Cinema EOS family. With a new RAW recording format, the Cinema RAW Light, the camera has provided the same flexibility in colour grading as Cinema RAW, but in a smaller file size. This allows creative professionals to record internally on CFast 2.0 cards. Up to 120 fps with no cropping at Full HD is now available and the camera features 15 stops of dynamic range when shooting Cinema RAW Light. Similar amount of range to RED and Blackmagic. Unlike the Canon C100 Mk II which features an LCD screen fixed into the side of the body, the C200 has given you a versatile, in many ways CUSTOMISABLE monitor

CONGRATULATIONS - 2017 ASC International Award ~ Russell Boyd ACS ASC
This is such a deserving honour for our very own Russell Boyd ACS ASC. So, in case you werent aware, here is a pocket history. Russell Boyd ACS ASC hails from Victoria and is a lifelong Geelong supporter. After shooting numerous commercials, he transitioned into narrative filmmaking. Hes worked frequently with director Peter Weir, on features including
Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Last Wave, Gallipoli, The Year of Living Dangerously, The Way Back and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World for which Russell received an Oscar for his truly incredible work. Russells other credits include Tender Mercies, Crocodile Dundee, Cobb, Tin Cup, Doctor Doolittle, and Ghost Rider. Well done Russell, we are all very proud of your achievements.

'Safer Workplace Strategies' forum ~ 12th December SAVE THE DAY!!!
WIFT NSW, Screen Australia, Create NSW, AFTRS, Screen Diversity and Inclusion Network, Foxtel, Screen Producers Australia, Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance together with Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia are collaborating to present a 'Safer Workplace Strategies' forum. The half-day forum on Tuesday 12 December hosted by AFTRS, will be live streamed nationally. Panels will feature experts addressing sexual harassment and assault as well as broader bullying and intimidation within the context of the film and television industry. The panels will take a practical toolkit approach encompassing individuals safety and workplace rights alongside personal and organisational responsibilities. 'Safer Workplace Strategies' Forum

Oscar®-nominated and AACTA International Award-winning feature film LION led the afternoon, winning all seven of its nominated categories: Best Adapted Screenplay for BAFTA winner Luke Davies;
Best Cinematography for Oscar® nominee and two-time AFI Award winner Greig Fraser;
Best Editing for Emmy nominee and AFI Award winner Alexandre de Franceschi;
Best Sound for Robert Mackenzie, Glenn Newnham, Nakul Kamte, Andrew Ramage, James Ashton and Mario Vaccaro;
Best Original Music Score for Oscar®, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominees Volker Bertelmann and Dustin OHalloran;
Best Costume Design for two-time AFI Award winner Cappi Ireland; and
Best Production Design for four-time AFI Award winner and Byron Kennedy Award recipient Chris Kennedy.
Seven Types of Ambiguity led the pack in television, taking home three out of a potential five AACTA Awards: Best Direction in a Television Drama or Comedy for Glendyn Ivin, marking his first AACTA Award for direction;
Best Cinematography in Television for first-time AACTA winner Bonnie Elliot; and
Best Editing in Television for three-time AFI | AACTA nominee Rodrigo Balart. The Documentary award for Best Cinematography in a Documentary went to BLUE, for Jody Muston and Jon Shaws breathtaking underwater shots.
