A Message from the President

Greetings ACS Members, friends and colleagues,

So….you’ve no doubt seen the link below and like me, been absolutely horrified that a Government could even consider taking these steps and downgrade the importance of the Arts ministry.
Where do these decisions without consultation come from?

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/massive-backwards-step-australia-to-no-longer-have-a-federal-arts-department?fbclid=IwAR0omC6OT-yclHDjG7OhgRQmqeuLpYePh--ddI47WkvJQiPFW92tVa8jMxs

I urge you all to write or contact immediately both your Government member and Opposition member and state your case clearly and succinctly given this is a travesty that cannot be accepted.
Obviously we will be discussing this issue at the upcoming Guilds meeting and collectively determine a course of action.
