Are you aware of the appalling decision by Government that could affect our livelihoods?

Click on the various links to read and understand further the new package of measures announced by our Federal Government and Senator Stephen Conroy, the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.

These include the introduction of an Australian content requirement for the commercial broadcaster multi-channels, in exchange for extending and making permanent the current 50% rebate on the broadcasters’ licence fees. This sees him turning his back on the film and television community by giving these rebates to the detriment of local production. When will these politicians understand how these simply bad decisions affects peoples lives?

Contact your local member and let them know this ridiculous ruling must be changed, in order to keep new Australian drama on our screens and to prevent an absolute travesty taking place.

This Christmas, and Throughout the Year, Buy Local!

The ACS has a very staunch group of supporters...our National and State Sponsors.

Why not return that support to them and BUY LOCAL? Resist the temptation to purchase elsewhere and look to our own backyard.

As I said, BUY LOCAL. Somehow it just seems right.

Free Subscription to Cameraman Magazine for ACS Members

Dear cinematographer,

Cameraman Magazine invites you to get a free subscription to the new English edition of the magazine.

Cameraman is the leading Spanish magazine on technical cinematography. The Spanish magazine is sold to professionals of the sector since seven years ago, with the exception of the AEC (Spanish Society of Cinematographers), whose members get them for free, courtesy of the magazine.

Cameraman launched the new English issue #0 last September, presented at IBC, Amsterdam. As you are a member of a cinematography society affiliated to IMAGO, Cameraman would like to send you the e-Magazine monthly for free. If you would like to read about Spanish and Latin-American cinematography or tests of cinematographic equipment in depth, you just have to fill the next form and you will receive the issue in a few days.

Please use the link below to fill the form:
