Robert Norton

Biography

At the University of Montana, while in the Radio-Television program my interest in telling compelling stories flourished. Our senior project, 'Unspoken: Voices of Suicide in Montana,' won an Emmy. More importantly, it told the stories of people dealing with suicide, and hopefully saved some lives.

I worked for two years in Los Angeles as a Production Assistant. I helped set up video interviews, shoot press junkets, television segments, documentaries, and stage setups. I assisted with big brand commercials. I worked on music videos.

When I returned to Brisbane, I gained video production experience with Australian film and television veterans. To this end, I have worked with pre-eminent Directors and Cinematographers. I helped with video productions for major brands in manufacturing, real estate, energy, food, primary industries, auto, and medical.

I work as a Director of Photography in Brisbane, specializing in multiple camera interview set ups, Piece To Camera, commercials, corporate video, documentaries, music videos and drones.
