Biography
Pedro Greig is a Sydney based, multi-disciplinary artist working across motion film, stills photography, sculptural works and music composition.
Pedro began his career in stills and motion photography in 2010, after stepping away from a 13-year career as an Art Director in Advertising. Best known for his work with Sydney Dance Company as their Digital Artist in Residence, Pedro’s relationship with Australia’s performing arts community ignited that same year when Australia Council for the Arts awarded him a 12-month residency under the Digital Arts Era program.
Affectionately dubbed as a creative jack-in-a-box, with matching technical skills to boot, Pedro often produces, directs, shoots and lights the art films he works on – landing him a reputation as the go-to within the Australian performing arts sector. He can work across a wide range of camera platforms, and his company is fully certified for drone operations.
In 2020, Pedro spent most of his time on films commissioned in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Some of these films are now currently on an exhibition run through international art film festivals.
